Where is Audio Description used?

Broadcast stations/networks There are a number of programs broadcast on TV that use audio descriptions to ensure their content can be enjoyed by the blind and visually-impaired.

Streaming services
Online streaming services, which are gradually becoming the default source for many people who watch video content, often allow audiences to access audio description through their settings menu.

Additionally, those using physical formats, such as DVD or Blu-ray, are normally able to access a secondary audio source (SAP) which supplies audio description outside of dialogue.
